Director-Underwriting & Credit
Mr. Bird serves as Director–Underwriting & Credit for Government Finance & Services Inc. with responsibility for all municipal underwriting, credit policy and reporting activities. Mr. Bird’s accounting and finance career spans over 5 decades including +20 years working for distinguished Wall Street banks, i.e., Irving Trust Company and The Bank of New York.
Mr. Bird served as the Regional Banking Valuation Manager for Arthur D. Little Valuation. Mr. Bird began his accounting and finance career with Simmons Mattress Co. and worked for other manufacturing firms before joining a local NJ Regional Bank, which preceded his move to Wall St.
Mr. Bird gained experience in underwriting and credit, serving as Director of Underwriting & Credit with Municipal Finance & Services Corp. and Security Capital LLC. Mr. Bird is the Director-Founder of TouchStone Strategies, a Business Advisory firm that also specializes in Business Valuations.
Mr. Bird earned both his BS-Accounting and MBA-Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Prior to his accounting and finance career, Mr. Bird served in the U.S. Navy
